Bruce Sikes is a former Federal Police Officer, a retired Fencing  Athlete/Instructor, and is an active Ordained Christian Minister. He has received numerous awards and honors for public service and holds degrees in Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts and Theological Studies. During his employment as a Police officer, Bruce was the first to receive a Superior Performance Award from the Department.

During his Fencing career, Bruce has taught and fenced  throughout America, Asia and Europe including competing in the  World Veterans Championships in Germany. For over 20 years Bruce owned and operated the Academy Fencing Club in St. Louis, Mo. until he retired from fencing in 2017. In 2016, (on its' 20th anniversary!) Academy was recognized as one of the “Best Fencing Clubs” by a national fencing club ranking organization.  He has also taught olympic style and historical fencing at  area universities, schools and other facilities.   Bruce founded the Christian Fencers Association, a Sports Ministry whose major focus is to conduct free fencing camps for disadvantaged youth throughout the world, including Northern Ireland, Hungary, and Asia. In 2002 and 2007, he conducted camps for youth in Calcutta, India including young men in a Drug Rehabilitation Program.

Bruce has received numerous fencing service awards and honors, including the R.F. Time's Annual "The Best of St. Louis Award" for his fencing classes. His fencing endeavors were frequently featured on T.V. and newspapers. In 2007, author Bob Swope dedicated his new book, “Learning About Fencing” to Bruce citing;

 “…his energy, patience, and inspiration in teaching fencing to young kids and adults within a safe environment of mutual respect and self discipline.”

Bruce is also a student of world and military history, regularly visiting historical castles, forts, and battlefields, including military museums and collections throughout the world. Bruce conducts educational living history presentations and demonstrations of period dress, culture and weapons to schools, libraries, festivals, and even occasionally choreographs and performs theatrical swordplay!

He is an experienced traveler and enjoys diverse cultural experiences. From riding camels in the Sahara desert riding to hiking the Scottish Highlands, he has visited cities as varied as London, Paris, Seville, Moscow, Casablanca, Budapest, Delhi, Monte Carlo, Athens and Tokyo.  

As an Ordained Minister, Reverend Bruce Sikes has served area churches for over 30 years as Education Director and in the fields of Biblical Church Growth, Youth, Evangelism and  Pastor.  He has also started two inner-city churches and has been interviewed by Time Magazine for his mission work. Bruce is Founder of Voice Of The RemnantMinistries, and is engaged in public speaking, writing, teaching classes, and counseling. Particular aras of interest for him are Reformation, Revival and Church-State issues.

 Bruce resides with his wife in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A..
